Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am honored to have been selected to serve as the new principal of Parmelee Avenue Elementary and Dual Language School and to join this amazing community. I am looking forward to collaborating with you and the staff to ensure that we provide a high quality education for all our students. My first months will focus on meeting staff, students, various parent councils, and parents to gather feedback about the school. My goal is to continue the great work that is underway and to keep our students as the primary focus of our work. I will be listening to your successes, ideas, and suggestions on how I can support the school’s Mission and Vision as your new principal. Your active involvement and participation in your child’s education are extremely important to having a successful school year for our students. You are invited to attend, visit, and participate in School Advisory Council Meetings (ELAC and SSC), Parent Education classes/workshops, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Back-To-School Night, Open House, and other special school events. Information about these events will be sent out in numerous ways including on our website, Instagram, Class Dojo, Schoology, phone calls, emails, and text messages. A Connect-Ed phone message and email will be sent home every Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. to list important updates and events for the week. Text messages may also be sent for important reminders or in emergency situations. Please be sure we always have your most current contact information.
