    On June 4, voters living in LAUSD boundaries will cast ballots on Measure EE, Quality Schools for All — a per-square-foot parcel tax on habitable structures.

    Passing Measure EE is a critical step in our 20 by 20 campaign to reach $20,000 in per-pupil funding by the year 2020. Other steps include closing corporate tax loopholes through the Schools and Communities First measure in 2020 and taxing the wealthy to fund special education (IDEA) and Title I.

    School Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (SWPBIS)

    Parmelee is committed to providing a safe and healthy school environment that supports all students in every aspect of their well-being. Every student has the right to be educated in a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. Every educator has the right to teach in an atmosphere free from disruption and obstacles that impede learning. Our school’s Wellness Committee is comprised of all school stakeholders including teachers, parents, administrators, special education representatives, supervision aides, community members, and school support staff and meets once per month to review discipline data and develop strategies improve school-wide behavior. Our school-wide expectations of BE SAFE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE are defined, promoted, and clearly visible throughout the campus. Students earn LION LOOT tickets redeemable for prizes and incentives when they follow the 3 Bs.

    Dual Language School

    Parmelee is proud to offer a Spanish Dual Language Program in Grades K -2. Interested in attending our Dual Language School? Come join our E-Choices Informational Meetings on Oct. 19th or Oct. 29th to learn more about applying for the 2019-2020 school year.

    Parmelee's Mission and Vision

    Mission Statement: Parmelee Avenue Elementary is a community of learners that educates, empowers, and inspires the leaders of tomorrow by preparing the students for the 21st century in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood.

    Vision: Our vision is to utilize staff and community resources to provide stimulating learning environments where students are able to communicate, create, collaborate, and critically think to reach their full-potential.
